Whats to say I write a lot I read often I sleep little Once in awhile Ive been known to clean the house A number of kids live in my house and theres this guy they call dad and I call husband All in all its a pretty good life What s to say I write a lot I read often I sleep little Once in awhile I ve been known to clean the house A number of kids live in my house and there s this guy they call dad and I call husband All in all it s a pretty good life site_link Forever Yours (Nebraska Historicals)This is the third book in Dave and Mary s chronicles This has a sweet mellow feeling to it Dave and Mary have been living and loving together for several years when they hit a hic cup Dave s injury leaves him homebound and learning patience is hard Watching his son Isaac be star struck by someone else is harder Mary of course is loving and patient as Dave navigates his boredom frustrations and jealousy Highly recommended author and series Romance I really liked Dave in previous two books I feel that he became SO much regressive in this one The constant conversation around gender roles was frustrating I understand this is a historical book but Tom became so much likable to me due to his point of view re his daughters Also along with Dave Mary seemed to be super regressive as well At one point when the shop owner said that she should probably do something other than cook for her husband I really thought the plot was going to go the whole let me start my own business since she was so good as making things as well as cooking but nope Not to mention Isaac obv picked up on his parents attitude and so did Rachel because they both seemed to be thinking along the same lines Isaac was too good to do anything around the house and Rachel can t do any farm work because she s a girl I don t know this really bothered me It s a shame because this was my fav family but this book definitely ruined that for me Romance What happens after the happy ending Usually once the characters have their happy ending there s no to say to their story With Dave and Mary Larson however Eye of the Beholder was just the beginning To Have and To Hold was the continuation Forever Yours will offer the conclusion to their romance Up to now Dave has always been a pillar of strength and time after time he s helped Mary overcome her insecurities But even the strong have moments of weakness After falling off a horse Dave is unable to do the things he s used to He has to sit around and watch while everyone does things he used to take for granted Worse his older brother turns into a celebrity in town when the newspaper takes a sudden interest in him When Dave thinks of what he has it doesn t seem like he s accomplished much of anything at all What exactly is the value of a husband and a father And how can a wife help her husband when he doubts himself This book features Richard Tom Sally Jenny Joel and their families Eye of the Beholder To Have and To Hold and Forever Yours can be read as standalone novels Forever Yours Nebraska Historicals.
