Sin eater anthony pellicano com kai leakesThe Light Always Prevails Kai Leakes site_link Khamun Cross has been assigned an objective that will change his life to protect Sanna Steele from the dark forces that desire to steal her soul Khamun is a member of a secret society of Guardian Angels whose battle against The Cursed has been raging for centuries The Cursed roam the earth to harvest souls for the Dark army while the Guardian Angels desire to protect The Light Khamun has been commissioned to watch over Sanna but in doing so he also satisfies his secret cravings for the sins of The Cursed Like a vampire he feeds off of his enemies What was now tainted is purified by his touch and he returns them to The Light Unbeknownst to Sanna she is the key to the war and The Cursed are desperate to have her at all costs They hunt her as well as her family and friends relentlessly Will Khamun and his team be able to save her from the Dark Debut author Leakes delivers a classic tale of good versus evil in this supernatural thriller Sin Eaters Devotion Book One The book was beyond amazing You really hit the ground running but it works for the story I loved the diversity of the characters and how established they are The supernatural aspect is a huge plus The details in not just the story but the characters themselves really gives you this authentic urban flavor that you just fall in love with Another thing I loved is how you see the story from different standpoints so you get multiple perspectives even from the bad guys who are than what they seem themselves Action suspense strong driving characters you can t go wrong with this story English One of the best things I loved about Kai Leakes debut novel Sin Eaters was the consistency There were no long gaps of the story line where you had to wonder just what the heck was going on Many times when authors write in this genre they go overboard with trying to explain what they have going on which usually leaves me confused LOL And the action scenes Oh man the book opens with a scene so dark powerful and lethal In that particular scene with that one character it left me scared of him the whole book No seriously I was scared Of course if you want to know what I m talking about and why I was scared then you have to go pick the pook up A little bit of good A mess of evil A sprinkle of steamy hot romance A tinge of Biblical essence with a smidgen of WTF did he just do and a whole lot of action and bookstores nationwide will have Kai Leakes new action paranormal fantasy thriller yes all that in one for your eyes to read This is a great book I tell you no lies English Sin Eaters is a wonderful tale of love loyalty family and illusion The main female character Sanna is coming into her own while being silently protected by Khamun the handsome male lead character an amazing creature who doesn t really know his full potential Her world changes when evil entities known as The Cursed come after her and her family full forced to bring them over to their side before they realized their full potential and true identity Mixing different worlds and majestical creatures create the perfect backdrop in this story The characters are well written greatly developed and exciting The way the story is described keeps you captured engrossed in the every detail It s spell binding The dialogue is modern infused with just the right amount of slang which gives the story a classic twist Each character unique in their own right becomes fascinating as they realize who they are and their place in Society I found myself wanting to be apart of khamun s clique with every emotion I experienced while reading this wonderful tale They totally kick ass Lol But don t sleep on the Cursed one they call Medusa She is deadly sexy but sensual a triple threat to The Light Each scene drew me further and further into the lives of each character Shhh don t tell the others but Lenox is my favorite He is mysterious which enchants me What an adventure I lived in each moment fighting alongside The Light during every battle I won t give any spoilers but I sure hope RJ pulls through I want to know his significance to both sides I cannot wait until book 2 Great job Kai Leakes Extraordinary English Surrounded by EvilKhamun Cross has been assigned the task of protecting Sanna Steele from the dark forces that desire to steal her soul As a member of a secret society of Guardian Angels it is his job to protect The Light while battling The Cursed whose objective is to harvest souls for the Dark Army Sanna has no clue she is the key to the war and The Cursed are desperate to have her Will Khamun and his team be able to save Sanna from the Dark As supernatural paranormal goes it took me some time to get into the story line I think part of that was the modern day feel of the supernatural characters as opposed to the old world romance we are used to in such tales Once I got past that the story was enjoyable. Sin eater folklore The plot and characters were well thought out and the novel was vividly descriptive Reading further into the story it was easy to begin to root for Sanna and Khamun as you would find yourself doing while watching a horror movie I think new readers to this genre would appreciate the up to date vocabulary and current feel of the characters Readers used to a old world feel to supernatural characters should not be discouraged as this was an enjoyable story I would recommend Sin Eaters to all readers but especially younger readers discouraged by not finding a story written that they can relate to Reviewed by Lashonda English The creativity of this book was amazing I just loved the restraint shown because it could have gone so many ways in my opinion and just when you expected it to go one way it went the complete opposite direction It was very attention grabbing Good Job English This is such a gem in this genre The diversity is a welcome change The hero and heroine were likeable engaging characters The heroine is a curvaceous size 14 modern day woman who is going to be a total badass The supporting cast was just as interesting I found myself invested in all the characters I loved how the author weaved the story and characters throughout the book they truly were a family In the beginning I was a bit confused regarding the supernatual powers To be honest I am still not sure what exactly the hero is an angel vampire but not sure My only compliant for this book is the slang I personally hate slang in books But the story itself is Quality so I was able to overlook it I am looking forward to the sequel and purchasing the book for my personal collection I will be recommending this book to everyone English Once I started reading this book I didn t put it down until I finished it English
