i liked this book a lot but once i took a little break in between it gets harder to want to get back into it this book gives really good advice for tween girls and also good for 10 year olds that are about to go through there girl process and shoppig for certain things 224 Lucy B Parker is still the same girl who loves cupcakes wears colorful clothes gives lots of advice wants to get her period writes emails to talk show host Dr Maude and lives with her frister friend sister Laurel Moses but now she s that same girl whose mom and frother friend father instead of stepfather are planning a small intimate gathering don t say wedding unless you want to risk her mother s wrath and tears When a reality show comes to film them the drama gets amplified and Lucy in typical fashion has to figure out how to handle her bloversharing and get advice from someone other than her baby brother Ziggy This latest in the series hilariously skewers reality TV but realistically looks at how blended families connect and share and for those who ve been following the series a major development occurs though I am still waiting for Dr Maude to write back Robin Palmer manages to keep this series extremely up to date regarding technology and modern tween lives while also dealing with timeless topics in a humorous way This is a fun read whether you ve read the whole series or not though having kept up with Lucy and Laurel s adventures does add to the reading enjoyment 224 After nearly a year of crazy things have finally settled down for Lucy B Parker But then Lucy s mom and soon to be stepdad announce that they re finally getting married in a month and Lucy s life turns upside down Wedding planning is hard enough but when a reality TV crew ends up following the family around while it s happening the results are disastrous Can Lucy save her mom s wedding and the family or will everything fall apart For Better or For Worse Yours Truly Lucy B Parker 5.
