Book an unsuitable occupation for a lady in nj I ve generally not a fan of sex in my books and this was forgivable considering they were married when it happened and ended up being a crucial part of the plot I understand why the second scene was there as well but I just wish there was a way to tell the story without describing every detail Overall it s a good plot and with a little polish could be a very captivating book ebook Even though I sort of liked the story there were a lot of things I didn t like such as the structure the magical changes that the characters went through the jump from one place to the next without any explanation the express like scenes where things should have been better explained ebook Another light up all night insomnia read Much better than the last one although there were tons of really annoying spelling typo missing word etc mistakes Repeated spelling mistakes too I noticed distained instead of disdained several times Get an editor people or at least use spell check for the love of God Ahem As for the story it was a nice romantic comedy in book form with a strong independent capable woman who is a spy for the British government falling for a her mission partner Lots of romantic angst of course but a heavy dose of swashbuckling action and buoyant camaraderie which was refreshing and enjoyable I would have rated it 4 stars for the story but it lost a star for pathetic grammar spelling missing word issues ebook Another based on real history historical fiction by Jackie Walton This was not as good as Jackie Walton s prior book Scamp s Lady However it was still a decent read Based during Napoleon s time Chiara and Rafe are two spies and Chiara s father sends them to try to rescue Pope Pius VII They fail but Chiara and Rafe end up in love and married and Chiara gets pregnant on their wedding night After they re married mayhem happens to keep them apart but eventually they find their way back together ebook What an amazing and even believable story I was enchanted right from the beginning and couldn t stop reading for even a little sleep and food Pathetic I know But that s how good this book is I cried tears at the climay of this story because I felt with the female character I was actually convinced that men from those ages must be bigots how else could they damn women to the status they had back then But at the end it all turned out nice I didn t see the ending coming I have to admit though that I was really confused when both the hero and heroine came back to England without finishing their mission but then I remembered the story is not so much about the mission but about their developing love. I liked the idea of this story far better than it s execution which was sloppy at times hello spelling and grammar errors was the editor asleep The beginning was a little rough in terms of how and why the main characters went from arguing to in love but once they were together the complications thrown in their path were interesting ebook I ve spent some time reading Historical Romances the posh lives of the ton is an enjoyment of mine but sometimes I ve wanted to smack some of the main characters No so much in this book Chiara is a Lady with a knife hidden in the folds of her elegant gowns trained in art forms of fightening she holds her own with the men from Lords at a ball to French sailors on the sea She has became one of my favorite characters and I would hope if i lived in that time I d be like her ebook Gave only four stars but could really gave 5.
