But I feel like the book could have been better written It was choppy in parts and the author repeated a few of the same stories from time to time I enjoyed the church songs at the end of the audiobook than the book itself Lucimarian Roberts This book was so interesting Lucimarian Roberts is an amazing woman I enjoyed reading her story The last book I read was a heavy read This one was uplifting and much lighter I loved how music and God filled her life so much Lucimarian Roberts What an encouraging book It s told by themes and messages that the author has learned and shared Not chronologically But oh the life Her faith Her history and the legacy of hymns sprinkled throughout I loved it when a song was sung throughout the events and lessons Lucimarian Roberts

Although the book is not in chronological order and there are places where I wished for information the fact that I read this in almost one sitting is testimony that it is a worthy read Because I read it on my Kindle though I could not access the musical CD that accompanies it so after reading I found a YouTube version which was so inspirational This is a book about Mrs Roberts interesting experiences but primarily it is a testimony of her faith It is very uplifting and an easy quick read Lucimarian Roberts died just last week and her daughter Robin is entering the hospital this week for a bone marrow transplant I know Robin is saddened by her mother s death but she has been given a wonderful example of how to live by her mother Lucimarian Roberts Lovely uplifting story of this phenomenal woman Beautifully narrated The hymns took me back to my childhood and reminded me that Jesus loves me Lucimarian Roberts Well really 2 1 2 stars if I could This book could have been so much better I was able to learn about the author s strong religious faith and her deep love for her family sibling love friendship and intimacy all in one book reaches beyond the pages into the heart of the reader I smiled LOL cried and experienced from the words on the pages a warmth and affection beyond my imagination in this beautiful life Lucimarian Roberts What a lovely book The Life story of the Mother of Robin Roberts of Good Morning America She was a woman of strong faith in Jesus The first woman in her family to attend college a wife of a Tuskegee Airmen and officer and yet they because of prejudice were not allowed to live on base Yet this is not an angry story but one of the faithfulness of God through it all Lucimarian Roberts This was a wonderful audiobook by Ms Lucimarian which happens to be the mother of Robin Roberts I loved how her faith carried her through her life and I also enjoyed the snippets of hymns sung by her other daughter Dorothy Lucimarian Roberts It was interesting to read her recollections of her life and how her faith helped her deal with all of the ups and downs she has faced In addition we get to know her children through their comments in different parts of the book Lucimarian Roberts Lucimarian Roberts had a very interesting life and if you love Robin Roberts as do I you will understand her warmth and strength once you read this book by her mother It is written in a simple style but Lucimarian s strength comes through as does her love warmth It s a quick inspirational read Lucimarian Roberts Good Morning America viewers have come to know and love Lucimarian Roberts the 88 year old mother of coanchor Robin Roberts On the day after Hurricane Katrina blew through the Gulf Coast they watched Robin standing amid the remnants of her hometown recount the desperate search for her mother and her return to safety Robin was not surprised to learn that even as the winds howled and floodwaters rose Lucimarian sang hymns Today Lucimarian Roberts can recite lyrics to hundreds of hymns and spirituals She credits hymns for helping her a black woman born in 1924 live faithfully through the turbulent times of the Great Depression segregation and racial prejudice even as the wife of a U.
