Highlander’s wicked seduction book read online Follow Lydia on this sensational journey of hot highlanders bonny lassies and fierce passionand find sheer pleasure in the magnificent world of the Scottish countryside one that will sweep you off your feet and keep you begging for site_link I liked reading this book It is very entertaining The lead female character Diana is twenty and has whimsical spirit about her She is not opposed to conforming to social rules but she likes to be herself in her home She is bright intelligent and kind She is devoted to her family which now only consists of her brother Charles When Charles tells her she is betrothed in marriage to a man she met the night before she becomes enraged She cares not for the gentleman he has chosen and refuses to marry him Charles feels she needs a firm hand to settle her down she needs to grow up She feels betrayed and resentful she had no say in the matter She plots her escape and runs It is night raining and Diana is freezing She tries to cut through a field to get to the nearest farm house for shelter and comes across a stone wall She and her horse try to jump but the mud causes the horse to slip and Diana is thrown to the ground unconscious Another rider is passing by and sees an abandoned horse He has two minds to stay and help or go on his way He stops and finds Diana in a heap on the ground bloody bruised and unconscious He gets her and her horse to the nearest inn and has a doctor fetched Per the doctor she is lucky No broken bones She has a gash on her forehead that will leave a scar The lead male character Laird of Braewood Kentigern Forbes waits for her to wake When she does she has no memory save Kentigern s face She cannot remember anything who she is where she is from where she was going Nothing Kentigern takes her to his castle in Scotland to recuperate Diana and Kentigern become attracted to each other and eventually one thing leads to another In the meantime Kentigern s sister Heather has arrived from London with a broken heart Diana knows something is wrong but Heather will not open up not even to her brother Back in England Charles is frantic trying to find Diana and is helped by her betrothed George Orton Charles understands why Diana ran off and breaks the engagement He realizes how wrong he was But George insists to accompany Charles in his search of Diana In the beginning of the story George comes off as a slimy haughty entitled elitist snob Charles remembers a different George growing up He was not so jaded They finally find a clue to where Diana is and head to Forbes Castle That particular day Diana starts to get flashbacks but tries to resist remembering She does not want to leave Scotland nor Kentigern For the first time she feels at home It feels right to her That evening Charles enters the castle and suddenly all the memories flood back to Diana At first she denies knowing him She sees Charles face is sincere and loving and tells him to go away She is angry at him for what he did Then George appears behind him Heather screams and faints Diana goes ballistic wanting to know what he is doing there and how could Charles bring him Kentigern is on the defensive and gets between the women and the men As Charles and George wait for Diana George continues to belittle women and their hysterics Secretly Charles is glad his sister is not going to marry him Charles still believes George is a good man and only needs a good woman to see him settle But it will not be Diana Eventually Diana and Kentigern appear in the study Mostly Charles and Diana exchange words Charles opens his heart and tells her how sorry he is and that the engagement is off He will never force her to marry against her will again Kentigern offers them to stay at the castle but George feels offended refuses and leaves Little does anyone suspect that George is familiar to that Charles and Diana Now the author presents George in a negative light in the beginning and justly so But later on things go crazy a kidnapping a baby and a furious brother happen Later in the story like magic George is a different person I feel for the sake of the reader if the transition that George went through was a little thought out The author makes it clear why he was the way he was and why he became the way he became It was just too sudden I feel a little time devoted to George s character would have helped smooth the transition without him looking like there was something wrong with him and could not be trusted Anyway it is an action packed romance full of love affection and hot chemistry between Diana and Kentigern I did like reading it 478 Fate Bound Them Together A Runaway bride A terrible accident A loss of memory A rescue from an abduction A Love bigger than all of England and Scotland. Highlander’s wicked seductionq questions I enjoyed reading Highlander s Wicked Seduction This stand alone novel had entertaining characters which included both a feisty heroine and a strong but lovable hero Their steamy chemistry could withstand a dip in a frigid loch Lydia Kendall s well written plot had just enough of a descriptive style to make me want to fly over to Scotland and find my own Highlander By the end of this love story even the villain or villains depending on your point of view were forgivable if not a bit likable and thankfully the happy ending included both an epilogue and an extended epilogue. Highlander’s wicked seduction kindle download Disclosure I received an ARC of this book from the author I am voluntarily submitting my honest review 478 The book was good I liked the characters and the plot and I particularly liked the way the opening lines were mirrored at the end of the book Kentigern and Diana were the type of couple to make readers root for them to find their HEA Heather also This book as many books from this publisher reminds me of popcorn It s a quick easily consumed snack with little nutritional value but enjoyable nonetheless 478 I loved the Highlander s Wicked seduction up until the ending Why was the ending about Heather she runs away to her Godmothers But she never makes it She takes a fall off her trusty horse and is found by Kentigern Forbes Laird of Braewood A kind handsome man who takes her back to his castle to care for her after realizing she has amnesia Soon Diana doesn t want to get her memory back as she wants to stay with Kentigern at his castle Until the 19th birthday of Kentigern s sister Heather When the doors fly open to find her brother Charles and her betrothed standing there All comes flying back to her From here on in its fight or flight for many of them I really enjoyed this story I fell in love with all the characters Spicy romance mystery suspense and intrigue If you like sexy historical romance novels this is a great one I would recommend it 478 Not a bad read but getting a bit repetitive with these story lines Maybe I should request other books not historical Scottish fiction Well written with some surprises for the reader Enjoy 478
